"Loneliness is my best friend"-said this young, suave looking dude in one of his interviews, that showed him staring endlessly into the mysterious horizon of Juhu beach; and it was this impression that made me dwelve into the mystical piece, he has written.
The boy ofcourse is the author- Siddharth; and the piece is- "The Last Song of Dusk".
While i read this book, it drizzled outside and i think that added to the charm of the experience.
Its not the story that is enchanting as much as the characters and the narration.
The description of the ambience take you where the action is happening.
You can feel the breeze(if you allow yourself), can get wet in the rain...bear the pain of agony and gulp the bitter juice of life.
Along with the rythmic flow of sequences there is this blend of spontaienity and surprise, the behaviour of characters that make you question reason but then has to be digested as the authors indulgence.
It turned out the way i expected it, not less and...well...who doesnt want more?!
Its not a must read but for an avid reader the experience is musical- and if there's rain and chai to go along, then The Song just plays on...
